Rides Spoofs When my father John Shanafelt was dying of cancer several years ago, he would still ask me how the Grim Rides page was doing. My little brother would bring his laptop to the hospital so he could peek at it. Even though my father supported me in my love for hearses, I still felt kinda awkward with the page all filled up with skulls and such. So I made Tiki Rides, so he could look at it, and get a giggle out of it. When my brother and daughter were younger, each year on the anniversary of his death, I'd take down the "normal" Grim Rides site, and put up a page spoofing us, in honor of my dad, whom I miss daily.
